Function: Filters and purifies water previously treated (by a utility company plant), by the SNTA - Natural System of Water Treatment. It filters solid impurities, adsorbs chlorine, reduces chemical and organic substances and cloudiness. It removes unpleasant smells and tastes caused by chlorine. By means of dolomite it frees calcium and magnesium (combined or separated). It supplies water at three temperatures: Room temperature, cold or chilled, through a compressor that does not use CFC, a gas prejudicial to the ozone layer. The product chills water between 7°C and 9°C when installed in locations at room temperature between 25°C and 30°C. It has a filtration and purification chamber.

The Master Bacteria Retention Module comprises a chamber with overlaid hollow fibre membranes with more than 400 billion micropores, about 250 times smaller than the diameter of a thread of hair, with porosity of 0.3 µm. It retains total coliforms, fecal coliforms and pathogenic bacteria such as the Vibrio cholerae, that might be present in water and which dimensions are over 0.3 µm. As the protozoars have dimensions greater than bacteria, they are also retained.

Design: Stainless steel cabinet and tray. Chromed ABS spout, polycarbonate command panel, with Braille system. It is equipped with the Contágua, exclusive device that shows the quantity of water expended, and the time to change the chamber. Operation: The selection of temperature and the actuation are carried out by switches located at the tray top front. For cold water both push buttons must be activated simultaneously.

Installation: Extremely practical, by means of an atoxic hose, coated with flexible. Electric connection by means of a cable with a plug.

Consumption: supplies water at room temperature, cold or chilled, with a minimal of power consumption. Observation: The chamber must be substituted every 3 (three) thousand litres of water, or every 1 (one) year, whichever occurs first. In cases where the consumption is low or discontinued (less than 4 litres/day), the time limit of 1 (one) year prevails. This data can vary according to the quality of the water that supplies the product.

Contágua incorporated no apparatus - how does it work: Is a litre counter that by means of a graduated disc indicates to the user the volume of water expended. In the CTA the scale goes from 0 to 3 thousand litres. At 2500 litres a yellow field will appear on the display, indicating that the need to substitute the filtration and purification chambers is near. At 3 thousand litres the mechanism will lock, without the flow of water being interrupted; a red field with the inscription - overdue - will appear on the display, indicating the chamber’s life span end. The dial with rotating movement confirms the passage of water and operation.
